About the Circuit
Located on ÃŽle Notre-Dame in the St. Lawrence River, the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is a semi-permanent circuit using public roads. Known for its stop-start nature with heavy braking zones followed by acceleration, it's brutal on brakes and rewards engine power. The infamous 'Wall of Champions' at the final chicane has claimed many victims over the years.
