About the Circuit

The Baku City Circuit combines a 2.2 km straight—the longest in F1—with an incredibly tight and narrow section through the Old City walls. This extreme contrast between flat-out speed and delicate precision makes car setup a massive compromise. The circuit has produced some of the most chaotic and unpredictable races in recent F1 history.

Turns 8–12The Castle Section

The narrowest stretch of any F1 track — barely wider than two cars — running between the medieval Old City walls. Inch-perfect placement is required to avoid contact.
Turn 15Turn 15

A 90-degree left-hander leading onto the 2.2 km main straight, the longest in F1. Exit speed is everything for the slipstream battle into Turn 1.

A blind, downhill right that opens onto the start/finish straight. Hidden bumps unsettle the car at the apex, and it has caught out many drivers in the race.
